Corporate law

Corporate law for Ontario businesses.

From incorporating your company to buying or selling a business, we handle the corporate side in plain language – drawing on years of corporate and securities experience, all delivered remotely.

Whether you're starting out or restructuring an established company, we make the legal steps clear.

We work with founders, owner-operators, and growing companies across Ontario. Peter's background in corporate and securities law at a national firm means the same rigour on the small, important details – applied at a pace and price that fits a smaller business.

Common questions

Corporate questions, answered

Should I incorporate provincially or federally?
It depends on where you'll operate and how you plan to grow. We'll walk through the trade-offs – name protection, filing requirements, and cost – and recommend what fits your plans.
Do I really need a shareholder agreement?
If your company has more than one shareholder, a shareholder agreement is one of the most valuable documents you can put in place – it sets out what happens when owners disagree, leave, or want to sell.
Can you keep my corporate records up to date?
Yes. We can maintain your minute book and handle annual resolutions and filings so your corporation stays in good standing without you having to think about it.
Do you help buy or sell a business?
Yes – both share and asset transactions, including the due diligence, agreements, and closing. We'll structure the deal and guide you through to completion.
